I have stayed in a number of Servigroup Hotels and always found them to be of a good standard and was initally concerned when I read the recent review on the food but this was not true for our visit. The hotek was busy and we stayed full board and there was a good variety of international dishes, all fresh and regularly refreshed. I stayed in a superior room in the newer block with views of the castle and had to initally re-locate as the sound insulation is not great and we have very noisy neighbours but this wasn´t a problem. This is a really attractive location and resort but not for those looking for fish and chips or karaoke.
The beds were uncomfortable and because of their design, metal frame type on wheels, moved around on the tiles floors. Because only one of the restaurants was open and the hotel was busy with lots of coach parties most of the tables in the restaurant were reserved for the parties so as a normal paying customer it was often diffiicult to get a table

Not very much, the receptionist was very nice, but the hotel was too big and unpersonal.
It was not a good smell in the corridor, we had half board (dinner includeed). We did not like the food at all, but have found out that halfboard on this big hotels is really nothing for us, who enjoy small and personal places. We will not come back, even though the price was ok.

The hotel offers great value for its size. Its location close to the castle, restaurants, and bars is marvelous. The breakfast served at the hotel is sensational. The staff, though fairly friendly, provide woeful coffee.

We secured 2 nights full board for £30 p.p. approx. At those prices the hotel - a real 4 star - was an absolute steal. The location on the beach and close to castle was excellent . The food was good with always one or two dishes that were excellent - for a buffet . Drinks were inexpensive .
One of the reception staff was unpleasant , the rest of staff were friendly and good .

Excellent price.
Food quality and variety is just fair, but for the money is ok.

The hotel has a great location, food very good, helpfull staff very clean and comfortable.
Noise from next rooms and hall due to tiling floor, should put more signs up to remind guest to be quiet an considerate to other guest, tissues in bath room, coffee maker, and English TV would make the stay even better as this is a very Spanish hotel and resort. not many Brits which is great!!

Given the layout of the hotel......when garbage is picked up.....3 AM, this probably wakes up about 25% of the guests. Might want to pick up garbage during the day.

The breakfast was nice with plenty of different options. the location was brilliant and marvellous, just next door to a buzzing esplanade and the castle, which is a short walk away. Norte Beach district was worth staying in.

the food
the reception did not know enough english and it was impossible to communicate with them.there were silver fish bugs in the bathroom daily. the pool was so cold that we would not go in it - the ocean was warmer!!!! there was entertainment from 9:30 pm to 1:00 pm every night and it was so loud we could not sleep.

The main plus of this hotel are meals. The breakfasts and dinners were really good. It is very nice that the hotel tries to provide different menu, each day there were changes, and the foods of different countries - Italy, arabian, etc. It is also well situated close to the beach and main town distinations.
I didn't like the rooms, the rooms have old smell, when you open the door each time it is really awful. The furniture in the room is ikea style of 80'S. The best place in the room is bathroom, it was large enough. There are a lot of old people and families with children in the hotel. It is of course not a 4 stars hotel.
